The St. Joseph Catholic Academy girls volleyball team claimed back-to-back Regional Championships after defeating Kenosha Christian Life by a score of 3-1.

The SJCA girls volleyball team defeated Kenosha Christian Life in the WIAA Regional Finals by a score of 3-1. They would then go on to beat Living Word Lutheran 3-0 in the Sectional Semi-Final. They took on Waterloo in the Sectional Final and suffered a defeat of 3-0 ending the season.

Head JV Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach Alyssa Lueck on being back-to-back Regional Champions: “This team has faced every obstacle possible this season and I am so proud of their resilience and determination. They fought hard to be back to back regional champions and it was a really exciting game to be a part of! They played their hearts out and it paid off.”

The seniors will be proud of the way they have finished being back-to-back Regional Champions and ending their high school career on a high note. It wasn’t the way they wanted it to end but they went down with a fight against Waterloo in the Sectional Final.

“This season was full of ups-and-downs but we fought hard every day through practice and played every game possible like it was our last. Winning back-to-back regional champships will always be with me. I am forever grateful to be able to play this season during these difficult times,” said Savannah Reed

“It was the best 4 years I could’ve ever asked for. Winning back to back regional champships will always be with me and being able to have a season during these difficult times. It was a very fun season and a great group to be a part of,” added Katie Torres.

Although they didn’t make it to state it still was a very positive season for the SJCA girls volleyball team.
